Tournament Protocols Seminar — 4:30p – 7:30p

Including, but not limited to:
Patterns — correctness of form, facing, bowing on/off competition floor, Stances, speed of pattern, power, accuracy, Judges role, etc.
Sparring — scoring, illegal techniques, ring sizes, competitor designation, corner designations, gear requirements, warnings, disqualifications, etc.
Board-breaking — bowing in/out to board-breaking officials, Measuring, scoring, striking tools, disqualifying events, etc.
Miscellaneous — addressing Officials/Black belts, etc.

Ms. Emilia Tambunga, a 7 year old CVMAC 7th Gup (green belt) student, was tragically killed when she and her grandmother, who was also killed, were struck by a vehicle driven by a human trafficker who was transporting illegals across Texas on IH 10 traveling West, near Ozona, TX. The driver of the vehicle exited IH 10 at Ozona, to elude Law Enforcement officials who were in pursuit. He was traveling at a speed in excess of 100 mph when he struck the Tambungas who were crossing an intersection at a green light. Both Emilia and her grandmother were killed upon impact. Emilia’s mother, Elisa, also trained with us in her youth, and has wholeheartedly endorsed our Memorial Tournament this summer. Elisa plans to attend our Training Tournament. Subsequent Memorial Tournaments will be held closer to Emilia’s and her grandmother’s death anniversary.
